Joe Ralls: Building a partnership alongside Tom Lawrence

In recent weeks the Cardiff loanee has lined up alongside Duane Holmes (19), Tom Lawrence (20), John Lundstram (20) and Joe Edwards (24) and he admits the youngsters' energy levels have helped them put in some lively displays.

"I'm starting to feel like an old head now and I'm only 20," he joked.

"We have a young midfield but there are some old heads at the back we can speak to and its working well.

"Our game is about energy, pressing, winning the ball and keeping the pressure high and as young players we are trying to do that."

The newest recruit to that midfield is Manchester United loanee Lawrence who was rewarded for his recent form by Wales boss Chris Coleman who put the Wrexham-born youngster on the stand-by list for next week's friendly with Iceland.

And Ralls has enjoyed playing alongside Lawrence since his arrival at Huish Park.

"He's very positive and has a really good go, he can only be a positive for us," he said. "Tom has created a lot of good chances and we hope he can continue that and create a few goals."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
