£60m Chelsea-linked defender ‘fed up’ at PSG after one season

PSG defender Achraf Hakimi could reportedly quit the Ligue 1 club after one season due to the potential departure of Kylian Mbappe.
The Morocco international joined the Parisiens last summer for a reported £60m with add ons after helping Inter Milan win Serie A in 2020/21.

Premier League giants Chelsea were heavily linked with the 23-year-old before he made the move to the French capital.
Last September, Hakimi explained why he snubbed a move to Stamford Bridge.
“I had two offers, one from Chelsea and one from Paris Saint-Germain,” he said.
“But I felt I had to come to Paris, that I would have been happy there.
“PSG is a great club, I really appreciate the support the fans gave me straight away. I was lucky because so many other champions joined me.
“I feel good at PSG, we have a dream team and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
However, his future at the French club is in doubt, with Foot Mercato (via HITC) claiming he is ‘fed up’ with the negative dressing room atmosphere.
It is noted that Hakimi is ‘very close’ with Mbappe – who has an uncertain future in Paris amid Real Madrid’s notable interest in him.
The report adds that the Moroccan is not close with the South American contingent at PSG, meaning his future could be in doubt should Mbappe leave when his contract expires this summer.
HITC note that Tottenham and Arsenal were also in for Hakimi before he joined PSG last summer.
Meanwhile, Reece James has praised his former Chelsea teammate Tammy Abraham as his numbers for Jose Mourinho’s Roma “don’t lie”.
Abraham signed for Roma last summer permanently for around £34m. He has been in great form as he has grabbed 23 goals from his 40 appearances.
Along with James, the 24-year-old has been included in the England squad for this month’s friendlies.
James (via Instagram) has praised Abraham, as he said: “Numbers don’t lie. Pay some respect please.”
