£80m is Arsenal’s ‘get out’ for Sanchez – Wilkins

Ray Wilkins thinks Arsenal should consider selling Alexis Sanchez if they receive an offer of £80million but admits the striker is “almost irreplaceable”.

Sanchez has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and the Gunners have not yet matche the Chilean’s wage demands.

Rumours have been circulating about a possible lucrative move to China that would see Sanchez link up with his countryman Manuel Pellegrini at Hebei China Fortune where they are reportedly willing to make him the best-paid player in the world.

And Wilkins reckons the Gunners should keep their options open to potential huge offers with time running down on Sanchez’s contract.

“If Arsenal are looking and the Chinese are coming in with those kind of offers, I reckon that’s £80m for Sanchez. That’s Arsenal’s get out,” he told talkSPORT.

“He epitomises what a footballer should be. His work ethic, his ability is superb.

“He’s almost become irreplaceable for Arsenal. Wenger plays him when he just gets back from Chile.

“He’s now become so important. I think he’s brilliant, the guy’s great.”
