Lyon striker Moussa Dembele is determined to complete a move to Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
The former Fulham striker has 19 goals and one assist in all competitions this season, including 13 goals in 24 Ligue 1 appearances.
Dembele was widely tipped to leave Lyon in January, but didn’t force through a move with both Chelsea and Man Utd interested in the 23-year-old.
But Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has since conceded that they will sell any player that wants to leave the club, with Dembele now expected to depart in the summer.
And Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims that ‘Dembele wants to move to Old Trafford’ and that the Frenchman ‘will be allowed to leave Lyon at the end of the season’.
Chelsea wanted Dembele in January with the club understood to be prepared to pay £40m for his services, while Spurs were interested in him before his move to Lyon in 2018.
The report adds that Aulas had set Dembele’s asking price at €100m (£83m) but that ‘he will have to settle for less’.
A transfer to Man Utd would be a ‘dream move’ for Dembele but Solhekol continues by saying that he is ‘keeping his options open’.
