A fantasy football player to consider from each team

We’re playing FanTeam’s £1million Premier League Fantasy game this season and you can join our free league using code: f365fantasy. To help you out, we’ve picked out one player from each club that you should be considering for your team.
Arsenal
When it comes to the Gunners, there’s probably the most value in their defenders, as their forwards can be unreliable at the best of times.
Last season they kept 11 clean sheets and so someone like Kieran Tierany (£5m) is a tempting pick; he will look to get forward and make overlapping runs down the left-hand side and could chip in with a few assists.
Aston Villa
This one’s a bit of a gamble but Emi Buendía (£6.5m) could turn out to be a gem this year.
He’s coming off the back of an excellent season with Norwich, which saw him pick up 31 goal contributions. The last time Buendía played in the Premier League only three players created more chances and with Danny Ings feeding off his service, the Argentinian playmaker could have a field day.
Brentford
If you are looking for a budget striker then Ivan Toney looks like he’ll be a popular pick this season as he’s coming in at just £6million.
Another option to consider from the Brentford side is Bryan Mbeumo (£5.5m) who is classed as a midfielder on the game, although he did play a portion of last season as a striker. The French forward has scored 24 goals in his last two seasons with the Bees and will be looking to add to his tally next season.

Brighton
Brighton’s strength last season was undoubtedly their defence as they had the best defensive record from the sides who finished in the bottom half last season.
For that reason, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) is a very tempting pick as he kept 10 clean sheets last time round in just 27 appearances.
Burnley
Although he might not be the flashiest of players, Chris Wood (£6.5m) is great value in the game once again if you are looking for a budget forward.
Throughout his Burnley career so far, he has averaged 12 goals a season and you would expect him to be the Clarets’ biggest threat once again this season.
Chelsea
Chelsea are expected to stick by their 3-4-3 system which served them so well last season under Tuchel and so their wing-backs are once again the tempting picks.
Reece James (£5.5m) is probably the safest bet as Ben Chilwell (£6m) could be rotated with Marcus Alonso (£5.5m) on the left-hand side throughout the season.
Crystal Palace
Michael Olise (£5.5m) is the newest recruit at Palace and could turn out to be a gem, especially with Eberechi Eze (£6m) missing the start of the season due to injury.
Last season for Reading, Olise picked up 12 assists and so he could turn out be Palace’s creative outlet this time round, although he is a doubt for Palace’s first few fixtures, he might be worth putting into your team a few weeks into the season.
Everton
Rafa Benitez always has his sides disciplined at the back and for this reason, there are a few Everton players worth considering.
Jordan Pickford (£5m) is coming off the back of an excellent Euro 2020 campaign with England, which saw him with the golden glove. Another option worth considering is Lucas Digne (£5.5m), who registered seven assists last season.
Leeds
Raphinha (£7.5m) was excellent in his debut season with Leeds, when he had 15 goal involvements.
Although his price has been bumped up this time, we still think that £7.5million is decent value for the Brazilian winger.
Leicester
Kelechi Iheanacho (£7.5m) finished the season in terrific form for Leicester and despite only starting 16 matches, he still scored 12 goals.
He comes in significantly cheaper than Jamie Vardy (£9.5m) so the real value could be with Iheanacho this time.
Liverpool
He might be the most expensive player on the game this year, but Mo Salah (£12.5m) is an absolute must-have in fantasy football.
Despite Liverpool’s troubles last season, Salah still managed to score 22 goals and he has a decent opening fixture against newly promoted Norwich.

Man City
Pep Guardiola remains the bane of fantasy football managers all around the world with his unpredictable team selections each week, but can you really justify leaving out some of these players?
Kevin De Bruyne (£11.5m) is always a strong option and after the Euro campaign that he’s just had, Raheem Sterling (£10m) also looks like a tempting pick.
Man United
Look no further than Bruno Fernandes (£12m). He may not have been great at the Euros for Portugal but when he puts on a United shirt, he’s as close to guaranteed points as you can get.
He had 30 goal contributions last season and with Jadon Sancho (£9m) another player to link with, Bruno looks like a strong pick once again.
Newcastle
Newcastle were heavily reliant on Callum Wilson (£7.5m) last season, who was involved in 37% of the goals they scored.
If you are looking for a fairly cheap striker for the season then Wilson might be worth considering.
Norwich
Milot Rashica (£5.5m) is perhaps the most exciting addition Norwich have made to their squad so far this transfer window as he’ll be looking to fill the boots of Emi Buendía.
Norwich scored 75 goals as they were promoted to the Premier League and under Daniel Farke, a creative player like Rashica could thrive.
Southampton
James Ward-Prowse (£6.5m) is decent value for money considering his ability from set-pieces.
Last season Ward-Prowse scored eight goals and picked up seven assists from midfield and considering he didn’t go to the Euros in the end, he should be fresh for the start of the season.
Spurs
While the future of Harry Kane (£12m) still remains up in the air, whether he’s playing for Spurs or Man City next season he’s a strong pick regardless.
If he’s able to match his goal contributions tally of 37 this time around, then he’s pretty much a must-have, even at £12million.
10 budget options to consider for your fantasy team
Watford
Ismaila Sarr (£6m) finished last season strongly as he scored 13 goals as well as picking up four assists.
He is classed as a midfielder on the game, although he was being played as a striker for the final months of the season, which could give him even more goal-scoring potential next season.
West Ham
Both Vladimír Coufal (£5m) and Aaron Cresswell (£5.5m) represent good value for the Hammers once again.
The full-backs produced 20 assists between them last season and are certainly ones to consider once again.
Wolves
With Bruno Lage being appointed as the new Wolves manager, there are a few players who are now worth considering.
If Lage persists with the 4-4-2 formation he mostly used at Benfica, Fabio Silva (£6m) could turn out to be a great budget forward who will play alongside Raúl Jiménez (£7m). New signing Francisco Trincão (£6m) could also be worth a gamble if he’s able to hit the ground running.
