Hakimi ‘hoping to return to Real’ despite joining PSG
After months of speculation, Achraf Hakimi was confirmed as a Paris Saint-Germain player on Tuesday.
The French giants signed him from Inter Milan for a £54million fee.
That was despite interest from Chelsea, who were hoping to give the wing-back his first shot at the Premier League.

Hakimi started his career at Real Madrid and made his first team debut in October 2017, thanks to then manager Zinedine Zidane.
And it seems the talented 22-year-old could return to Spain in the future following recent comments made by his agent.
Alejandro Camano told Spanish outlet Marca (via ESPN): “We keep the excitement and the hope and the dream that Achraf returns to Real Madrid.
“He was born in Madrid, he grew up in Madrid and some day, he would like to play at Real Madrid.”
It seems Hakimi could force through a move to his favoured club in the next few years, should he become dissatisfied in Paris.
Hakimi had a great campaign in 2020/21 as Inter won their first Serie A title in 11 years.
The Morocco international registered seven goals and ten assists from right wing-back in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 formation.
However, Inter were forced to sell him as a result of their financial woes. They’ve been badly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and have had to ask numerous players to take pay cuts.
The potential sales of first team members is why Conte walked out of the club at the end of the season.
Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a return to Chelsea. The Belgium striker, 28, failed to score in 15 appearances for the London side before being sold to Everton.
Following a spell with Manchester United, he’s become a goalscoring machine in Italy.
Lukaku was Inter’s top scorer last term with 24 strikes in 36 games. He took that form into Euro 2020, notching four goals in five matches before Belgium’s quarter-final defeat to Italy.
Milan Skriniar remains on Tottenham’s list of targets to improve their defence. The centre-back could be sold for as little as £25m.
