Addicks sink Yeovil to keep bid alive

Kyel Reid put the Addicks ahead in the 29th minute when he ran unchallenged from the halfway line before hitting a powerful drive from 30-yards that Yeovil goalkeeper Alex McCarthy could only palm into the net.
David Mooney added a second for Charlton in the 54th minute when Deon Burton passed the ball across goal and the striker, on-loan from Reading, hit his shot first time from six yards giving McCarthy no chance.
Yeovil, who have now only won one of their last six matches, had their best chance in the 9th minute when Dean Bowditch laid the ball off to strike-partner Sam Williams, who shot straight at Rob Elliot from inside the area.
Alex McCarthy made two great one-on-one saves from Nicky Bailey in the first half and Burton in the second as Charlton finished comfortable winners.
