Aguero discusses Messi’s supposed tunnel bust-up

Sergio Aguero has dismissed claims that Lionel Messi argued with a Manchester City player in the tunnel on Tuesday.
City secured an impressive 3-1 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League group stages, and reports in the Spanish press claimed that Messi shared a heated exchange with an unnamed opponent after the match.
It was reported that Aguero was forced to play peacemaker after Messi called one City player an “imbecile”, before shouting at said individual to “come back here” and “don’t hide”.
Club sources at the Etihad Stadium claim no such altercation took place, and Aguero was equally dismissive after the game.
“Nothing,” he said when asked what he had seen. “I thought Messi said something to me but he didn’t, and then we talked about other stuff.
“I heard something but I don’t know what happened. Nothing serious.”
The 28-year-old added, of his international teammate: “I saw him there, he was feeling bad. I know him well enough to know when he’s bad, when he’s good. But when you lose, nobody’s good!
“When one loses you have to respect.”
