Sergio Aguero has spoken out after he was involved in a car crash in Amsterdam.
Aguero was travelling to a concert on Thursday evening when a taxi he was in collided with a pole.
The striker suffered a broken rib in the collision, but no more serious injuries.
He is now expected to miss up to two months of action, but alleviated fears over his well-being on Friday.
“The taxi driver did not see the curve and skid,” he told Radio Metro de Argentina. “And when he skidded, we hit the pole.
“I broke my rib, now I’m resting. It hurts me badly. I’ll be discharged in a little while.”
Guardiola addressed the situation on Friday, stating that Aguero was in the Netherlands because it was his day off.
“Aguero has had an accident in Amsterdam and he will be back after that,” said the City manager. “I am not a doctor. He will come back and recover as soon as possible.
“The first impression is that he has broken rib but the number of days he will be out, I don’t know right now.”
