Reported Chelsea target Massimiliano Allegri will be staying at Serie A side Juventus, according to director Beppe Marotta.

The Blues, who currently have interim manager Guus Hiddink in charge of the first team, are on the lookout for a new boss this summer with Allegri thought to be their first choice.

However, Juve’s Italian director Marotta has dismissed rumors that the former AC Milan coach will swap the Juventus stadium for Stamford Bridge.

“We have a great rapport with Allegri,” he said. “Now the crucial moment of the season is coming up, so we should focus on that.

“In any case, contracts are not as important as the rapport between people. With Allegri the conditions are all there to continue.

“The team is doing well and improving a great deal.”

Allegri guided The Old Lady to Serie A title glory and the Champions League final in his first season in Turin.

Livorno-born boss recently distanced himself from speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea.

“My thoughts are on the championship, the Italian Cup and the Champions League,” he said. “I have a contract with the club until 2017 and I feel good here.”

When asked how he felt about being linked with a move to London, he added: “It feels normal. When you coach a team like Juventus, that’s the way it is.

“But I’m fine here and it’s only normal that my focus is on what I have to do here.”
