Another day, another ‘Man United revolt’ story

Manchester United must have lost another game because ‘senior players’ have been busy telling journalists how terrible life is for them under Louis van Gaal.

This time it is Neil Custis of The Sun – who has been quite outspoken in his criticism of Louis van Gaal – claiming that the Dutchman is ‘starting to lose the dressing room’.

Apparently, ‘players have begun to openly question the Dutch boss’ tactics after recent poor performances’ while there are the now-familiar complaints about repetitive training. Begun? How different is this ‘exclusive’ to last month’s talk of ‘mutiny’ in the Daily Mail or last week’s reports in The Times that players are ‘baffled’ by his tactics? Actually, back in October they were ‘baffled’ too. That’s an awful lot of bafflement. Or ‘bemusement’ as The Sun put it on Wednesday morning.

Custis claims: ‘It is understood two senior players spoke up in the dressing room following the 1-1 draw at Leicester on November 28.’

Coincidentally, neither Ashley Young nor Wayne Rooney has played for United since that game.
