Arsenal boss Arteta keen to move for £13m Bayern defender
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen on bringing Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boating to the Emirates.
And while Arsenal had been linked with Boateng on a permanent move earlier in the transfer window, a loan deal is now seen as a potential deal, reports the Mirror.
Arteta – who took over in December – is keen to rebuild his squad with Arsenal’s back-line believed to be the Spaniard’s priority.
It’s claimed that Arteta has limited funds to spend this month, so Bayern’s proposed £13million fee for a permanent transfer is unlikely, with Arsenal preferring a loan move.
Boateng still has 18 months left on his contract at Bayern Munich but has struggled for first team football at the Bundesliga giants this season.
Boateng has featured 76 times for Germany during his career and previously spent time at reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.
