Arsene Wenger says that Arsenal are “not close” to signing anyone else in this January’s transfer window.
The Gunners have brought in two players so far this month, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan joining Konstantinos Mavropanos in north London.
The club retain an interest in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang however, with Borussia Dortmund responding to claims over his future on Wednesday.
West Brom centre-half Jonny Evans has also been linked – although he could be available for £3million if the Baggies are relegated from the Premier League.
Wenger was asked about both players following Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea, which puts them in the Carabao Cup final.
Asked about Aubameyang, the Frenchman said: “The best is I don’t talk about that.
“If something happens, it happens. If not I’m perfectly happy with the squad I have.”
Then quizzed over Evans, he replied: “We are open to strengthening the team. But at the moment we are not close to signing anyone.”
