Arsenal forward among three set to join Newcastle before deadline
Newcastle are set to bring in three players before the transfer deadline on Monday, with an Arsenal forward likely to make the move.
The Magpies have been looking to invest in their playing squad heavily this month as they look to use their new-found riches to right off the threat of relegation.

Right-back Kieran Trippier has been brought in to add some experience to the defence whilst Chris Wood has joined for £25 million to add more option in the forward line. The move in turn weakens relegation rivals Burnley.
The Telegraph is now reporting that the club could bring in three players before the deadline.
Eddie Howe spoke to the media on Friday, revealing that the club were close to completing their third deal of the window.
“There’s nothing on individual players but we are hopeful we are getting close to completing a transfer,” Howe said.
“Fingers crossed we’re close to getting one over the line.”
The player in question is likely to be Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes who is reportedly set to undergo a medical in Brazil this weekend before signing for the club.
Brighton defender Dan Burn is also expected to join the club in the coming days. Burn is from the Newcastle areas and supported the club when he was younger so would relish the move.
Newcastle made an offer of £8 million offer for the defender which was rejected by the Seagulls earlier this week.
However, they are expect to go back in for Burn as Howe looks to continue to improve the squad.
The final name mentioned is Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah who is out-of-contract in the summer. The youngster has refused a new contract with the Gunners as he searches for a club where he can play more regular football.
Selling Nketiah now would allow Arsenal to secure a fee for the player before they lose the player in the summer for free.
However, it would leave Alexandre Lacazette as the only recognised centre-forward at Arsenal with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looking set for departure.
The report claims that Newcastle have been working on a move for Nketiah for ‘some time’ as they look to add more competition to Wood and Callum Wilson.
