Arsenal ‘going head-to-head’ with Tottenham over €50m man

Arsenal are ready to rival Tottenham for Real Madrid Dani Ceballos, according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Recent reports in Spain now claiming the midfielder has now emerged as their No 1 transfer target after claims Liverpool are also considering a move for Ceballos.

The latest report from Sport yesterday claimed that Mauricio Pochettino has urged Tottenham chief Daniel Levy to work on completing a deal for the Real Madrid star as a matter of urgency.

And now Sheth thinks Ceballos could have a better chance of playing regularly at Arsenal if the deal was to turn into a loan move instead of a permanent transfer.

Arsenal now, it appears, are going head-to-head with Tottenham for Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid,” Sheth told Sky Sports.

“It appears that what Ceballos wants might fit in more with what Arsenal can do.

“I think Ceballos wants to do a loan, Real Madrid would ideally like to sell to get some money into the coffers to maybe buy other players.

“But Ceballos feels that he can still have an impact at the Bernabeu.

“So if you couple that with Arsenal’s, limited, we’re told, transfer budget, they can bring someone in like that on loan.

“Ceballos is looking for first-team football. Is he more likely to get it there than at Tottenham?”
