Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all interested in signing Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati, who could leave the Spanish giants this summer.

Fati progressed through the ranks at Barcelona and he made his senior debut for the Spanish giants in 2019 when he was just 16 years old.

The winger has gone on to play 89 times for the La Liga leaders and he has grabbed 25 assists and nine assists for them across all competitions.

The 20-year-old – described as Barcelona’s great jewel – has been in and out of the team this term though as he has only started seven times in the league.

His lack of game time has fuelled talk that he could leave Barcelona in the coming months. Arsenal and Man Utd are among the clubs being linked with Fati, who is believed to be valued at around £44m.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Fati’s situation could be further complicated if Barcelona sign Yannick Carrasco from rivals Atletico Madrid.

The Belgium international has been linked with the Premier League in recent months but Romano is reporting that Barcelona have the “chance” to get him “for €20m”.

As for Fati, Romano adds that “there is interest” in him from the Premier League with Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd all being kept “informed” on his situation.

“There was some movement for the summer,” Romano said via his YouTube channel. “A domino because Barcelona have the chance to sign [Yannick] Carrasco for €20m.

“They still have to decide, but this could be crucial to understand the future of Ansu Fati who has clubs interested in the Premier League more than other leagues.

“Bayern Munich deny interest, but from the Premier League, there is interest.

“Barcelona president Joan Laporta said ‘we want to keep him, he’s part of our plans, we’re not thinking of selling the player… as of now’.

“But he said they can’t predict the future and added that Fati’s agent told them there are proposals and interest from other countries.”

He added: “Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool were informed on the general situation of Ansu Fati.”

This report from Romano has seemingly been refuted by Barcelona head coach Xavi. He has recently stated that he is “very happy” with how Fati is developing at Nou Camp.

“We have to be patient. Ansu is a spectacular asset to the club. We trust him a lot, he is working very well. I am very happy with his tremendous mentality in training, but be patient,” Xavi said earlier this week.

“He is 20 years old and needs time, like everyone else. Things will work out for him, now is not the time to talk about sales.”
