Reported Arsenal and Tottenham target Andrea Belotti during a match

Andrea Belotti is unlikely to renew his Torino contract, the Italian club’s president has confirmed, with Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly circling.

Belotti played six times for Italy at Euro 2020 as the Azzurri won the tournament for the second time.

His performances for club and country led to rumours of a Premier League move. The 27-year-old also managed 13 goals in 35 games during last season’s Serie A campaign.

Torino wish to keep hold of the player – who is out of contract in the summer – but the club’s president Urbano Cairo has revealed that it is unlikely to happen.

Cairo said (via Fabrizio Romano): “I don’t see big chances to extend his contract, but we’ll see.”

Romano added that the Torino board have offered Belotti a new deal, with nothing agreed. He will be able to leave as a free agent at the end of the season.

Arsenal are monitoring Belotti’s situation according to Calciomercato, who claimed last month the Italy striker would not pen a new deal with the Granata.

The Gunners could potentially lose two strikers for nothing at the end of the season, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract in July.

Lacazette confirmed last month he would only leave Arsenal for a ‘beautiful project’.

The Frenchman reportedly earns £200,000 per week at the Emirates Stadium, with the Gunners reluctant to extend his deal on his current salary.

“Of course, my agents are starting to look to the right and to the left,” Lacazette told Telefoot (via the Metro).

“But not until January, I really want to focus myself on something.

“And then we will see what is on offer, if the challenges are interesting, if there are beautiful projects, how they are counting on me… so there are still many questions, I prefer to wait until January to position myself.”
