Arsenal will make their interest official over the next few days with a bid for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in Italy.
Vlahovic has emerged as one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe amidst his terrific form for Fiorentina in Serie A.
The 21-year-old has scored 19 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions this term after an impressive 2020/21 campaign in which he netted 21 times in the league.

Arsenal and Spurs have emerged as the main two candidates for Vlahovic’s signature with the Gunners ‘ready to pay’ £68m for the Serbian in January.
However, Fiorentina director Joe Barone has claimed there have been no bids for their striker but that he wants Vlahovic to put an end to speculation by communicating his plan publicly.
Barone said: “We expect Dusan to make a decision on his future immediately, we need an answer if he stays or wants to leave. We asked Dusan two days ago to decide and communicate his plan in public immediately.
“We’re open to consider all the proposals we’ll receive for Vlahovic – no bid is on the table right now. We’ve not received any official offer. Let’s see if some proposal will arrive.”
A week ago The Athletic journalist David Ornstein insisted that Arsenal were ‘best placed’ to secure Vlahovic’s signature this month if he became available.
And now Calciomercato journalist Eleonora Trotta has claimed that the Gunners are about to make their interest official, with Fiorentina lining up a replacement in the form of River Plate striker Julian Alvarez.
She told CMIT TV: “Juventus? In January we need to monitor the Arsenal situation. They tell me that in the next few days an offer of 60 million euros will arrive. Fiorentina would like to sell it to January, in fact he has already met [Julian] Alvarez’s agents”
