Arsenal to target £45m Brazilian forward Brenner in January
Arsenal will reportedly target Sao Paulo striker Brenner in the January transfer window to bolster their attacking options.
The Gunners currently have club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to choose from up front.
They can also rely on youngsters Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah, although Gabriel Martinelli is injured.

Despite their options, Mikel Arteta’s side have been lacking sharpness in attack.
They’ve scored nine goals in their first eight league matches.
They failed to score in the recent defeat to Aston Villa.
According to Italian source Calciomercato (via the Daily Star), Gunners officials now want to sign Brenner in the next transfer window.
That would provide Arteta with an extra option going forward, if Aubameyang and Lacazette aren’t firing.
Brenner lacks pedigree in Europe, but he does seem to have an eye for goal.
The 20-year-old has already scored 15 goals in 25 games for Sao Paulo this campaign. He’s also helped his teammates by registering three assists.
The player currently represents Brazil’s U20 side. He is expected to move up soon if his form continues.
Brenner’s form in Brazil hasn’t just created interest from North London.
Arsenal might have to compete with Juventus, PSG and AC Milan if they want to sign him.
That’s because those three European powerhouses are believed to be scouting him.
The report states that Brenner’s current release clause is £45 million. This could prove to be a shrewd signing for Arsenal, given the current market and the player’s potential.
Brenner could form a stunning partnership with compatriot Martinelli once the latter returns from injury.
That might be a brilliant long term plan for the Gunners, given the age of their two main strikers.
Aubameyang is now 31, while Lacazette is 29. That means they might need to replace the duo in the not too distance future.
