Arsenal and Tottenham are among a host of sides monitoring Inter Milan forward Martin Satriano, according to reports.

The 20-year-old is one of the emerging talents in Italy, having scored 12 goals in 27 games during the recent campaign.

He represents Inter’s U19 team in the country’s top youth league and looks destined to reach the top.

This England generation must ignore blizzard of bullish*t

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal and Tottenham are joined by Premier League rivals Everton and West Ham in the hunt for his signature.

They claim Manchester City and Chelsea have previously targeted Satriano, although they aren’t thought to be pursuing a deal at this point.

The Uruguayan was tipped for a first-team debut under previous manager Antonio Conte, but it never came.

Satriano was named on the bench for a trio of Serie A games last year as Inter went on to win their 19th league title.

He could be sold this summer as a result of the club’s financial struggles. Like other European heavyweights, including Barcelona, Inter have been badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

They will be forced to let multiple players go in the coming months to offset huge debts, which was a major reason for Conte’s departure.

As such, one of the four Premier League sides interested could sign Satriano for a reduced fee.

His lack of first-team minutes also means a transfer shouldn’t be too expensive.

Satriano could be taken to Arsenal as a long-term successor for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gunners skipper, now 32, might need more competition for places after a tough season by his own high standards.

He managed 15 goals in all competitions during 2020/21, a marked decrease on his 29 strikes the previous year.

Tottenham are in a more precarious position due to the potential sale of Harry Kane.

Should he leave for one of the Manchester clubs, then numerous forwards might need to be signed to replace him.

While Satriano will not be an immediate solution, his huge potential makes him a great option for the future.

Spurs might be tempted to ask for Gabriel Jesus as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Kane, should City submit a second offer.
