Sokratis Papastathopoulos has landed in the UK to finalise his summer move to Arsenal.
Arsenal have identified Borussia Dortmund centre-half Sokratis as the ideal man to help reform their defence.
He is the warrior Unai Emery sorely needs in the post-Arsene Wenger era.
And he is likely to be Arsenal’s next arrival after the signings of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno.
According to Sky Sports, the Greece international ‘has arrived in the UK’ as his deal moves close to completion.
It is expected that an official announcement of the move could come as early as Monday.
