Aubameyang: ‘I don’t want to go to Arsenal’

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ruled out a move to Arsenal, just one day after the Gunners reportedly bid £44million for him.

Dortmund striker Aubameyang has scored 18 goals in 17 Bundesliga games so far this season, as well as four in four in the Europa League, more than any other striker in Europe’s top leagues.

The Gabon international was reportedly the subject of a £44million bid from Arsenal earlier this week, while The Sun claimed that the 26-year-old had ‘told friends’ he wants to play in the Premier League.

Humorously enough, it was speaking to The Sun when Aubameyang insisted he would not be leaving for the Emirates.

After being voted African Footballer of the Year ahead of Yaya Toure, Aubameyang said: “I don’t want to go to Arsenal. I won’t leave Dortmund soon.”

Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked in recent times.
