Arsenal are hoping to complete a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before January 30.
Aubameyang has emerged as the club’s main transfer target this month, as they look to soften the blow of losing Alexis Sanchez.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has already joined as part of the deal that saw Sanchez move to Manchester United, but Aubameyang is more likely to shoulder the goal burden.
Arsene Wenger discussed the prospect of signing the Borussia Dortmund striker on Wednesday, and German newspaper Bild bring fresh claims on his future on Thursday morning.
They report that Wenger ‘is scheduled to plan’ with Aubameyang in his side for the January 30 visit to Swansea – a day before the transfer deadline.
They add that a deal could be done ‘quite fast’, and that Dortmund will ask for Olivier Giroud on loan in return, as well as a £52.2million fee.

BVB think #AFC don't want to pay enough money after their last €50m offer was rejected. PEA wants a bigger (and quicker) push from #AFC. Are #AFC slow in matching €60-65m valuation as a tactic? 92% of transfers in January happen in the last 48 hours
