Bale spent 20 mins in Liverpool dressing room after CL triumph

Gareth Bale spent around 20 minutes talking to his friends in the Liverpool dressing room rather than celebrating victory with his Real Madrid team-mates after they won the Champions League, according to reports.

The Welshman climbed off the bench on the hour mark to score an unbelievable bicycle kick to put Real 2-1 up before adding another from long distance.

The Daily Mail claims that Bale ‘felt humiliated’ after being dropped by Zidane Zidane for the final despite his fantastic scoring form in recent weeks.

Bale had scored five times in his previous four La Liga appearances and has bagged 20 goals in 24 starts in all competitions this campaign.

Following the match, Bale admitted to reporters that he could leave Real Madrid in the summer and would be considering his future at the club.

The 28-year-old went to see the like of Adam Lallana – who he played with at Southampton – in the Liverpool dressing room after being one of the first Real players to head down the tunnel after lifting the trophy.

Bale was seen stood at the back of the open-top bus parade the next day with rumours he could be on his way back to the Premier League this summer.

The main problem Bale has is that very few clubs can afford his high wages and the big fee that it would take to tempt Real to let him go.
