Bale’s agent rubbishes ‘stupid paper talk’

Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has branded speculation that the Real Madrid forward could join Manchester United as “stupid paper talk”…

Bale was linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer, and there was also speculation last summer that then-manager David Moyes wanted to bring the Welshman back to the Premier League.

It is believed that the Red Devils will renew their interest in Bale next summer too, with Louis van Gaal keen to add to his forward line.

However, Barnett has rubbished such speculation, and believes the 26-year-old could stay in Spain for life.

“He has come nowhere near being transferred in the past few months,” Barnett said, speaking at a Soccerex convention.

“He is very happy at Real Madrid and hopefully he will stay there for the rest of his career. He is loving it there.”
