Jasper Cillessen is said to be keen to leave Barcelona this summer, with Premier League clubs said to be monitoring the Holland keeper’s situation.
Former Ajax keeper Cillessen joined Barca in 2016 but the 29-year-old has failed to usurp Marc-Andre ter Stegen as the established No.1 at the Nou Camp.
After two seasons during which Cillessen has made only four appearances in La Liga and the Champions League, the keeper who began his career at NEC is looking for first-team football again, according to RAC1.
Cillessen is unwilling to push hard for an exit but the goalkeeper is hoping Barca will listen to offers worth below the £52.8million value of his buy-out clause.
Liverpool and Chelsea are both mentioned in the report, seemingly on the basis that they are both looking for goalkeepers. Arsenal have also been credited with an interest.
Last week, Cillessen said: “Arsenal and Liverpool aren’t bad clubs but if Barcelona say, ‘We love you’, then I’ll accept their decision and continue there. I’ll wait until we return on the July 16 to see what they’ve decided.
“I don’t know anything. If the club wants to keep me, I’ll accept that. I signed a five-year deal with them.”
