Barcelona ‘keen to sell’ €20m Man Utd target in January
Barcelona are reportedly open to selling midfield star Ivan Rakitic before the January transfer window closes.
Spanish publication Sport, claim that Barcelona are not against the idea of losing the Croatia international midway through this season.
The 31-year-old drew interest from Manchester United, Inter Milan and Juventus in the summer, but is thought to be keen to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place.
Rakitic has seen his game time reduced this season following the arrival of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax and the form of the other midfielders vying for his central midfield position.
The midfielder – whose contract runs out in June 2021 – has made 22 appearances this season in all competitions.
The report adds that talks between Juventus and Barcelona over Rakitic have been reignited following the deal this weekend that saw Alejandro Marques move to Turin and Matheus Pereira join Barca B.
Meanwhile, ESPN claim United ‘have enquired about signing’ Ivan Rakitic, having been ‘made aware’ of his ‘availability’.
