Leroy Sane has been urged to join Bayern Munich by German team-mate Joshua Kimmich.
Bayern are hoping to sign Sane from Manchester City this summer to fill part of the void left by Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery’s departures.
But City are reluctant to let the winger leave, with talks ongoing over a new deal. Should Sane decide he wants to move, then the Premier League champions are expecting an ‘insane’ transfer fee, according to Bayern president Uli Hoeness.
Kimmich, though, is urging all sides to reach a deal to allow Sane to flourish at the Allianz Arena.
He told Bild: “I would like to have Leroy at Bayern, that would send the right message.
“He is a player who would be a good fit at Bayern. I think he is a very good player.
“He has great potential but was not allowed to play at City last season, which I cannot understand.
“But it is his decision and the task of those responsible to convince him.
“If I was in the club’s position, I would certainly buy him.”
