David Beckham has expressed his delight at Jose Mourinho as Manchester United manager.
Despite living in the USA, Beckham occasionally attends Manchester United games, and retains a strong link with the club.
Beckham rarely spoke about Louis van Gaal during the Dutchman’s time at the club, but believes that the Premier League is a far better place with Mourinho around.
The former England captain also expressed his desire to attend Mourinho’s first game in charge at Old Trafford. That was Soccer Aid, pal. You’ll be gutted you missed it.
“I think it is perfect, bringing Jose in,” Beckham said during a talk at a Jewish community centre in north London.
“I loved him as a manager, bring him back to the Premier League needed to happen.
“It’s not the same without him. I can’t wait to see him. I only hope I can go to the first game.”
Look back at the opening weekend of the 1996/97 season when David Beckham scored THAT goal…https://t.co/nSPuStInKR
