Nicklas Bendtner is set to join the Chinese Super League revolution in order to triple his wages, according to the Daily Mirror.

Former Arsenal striker Bendtner was omitted from Wolfsburg’s Champions League squad in their 3-2 last-16 first-leg tie against Gent in midweek, and is failing to break into the first team in Germany.

Bendtner has started just four games in all competitions, with the Bundesliga side opting to use Bas Dost and Max Kruse as their central striker more often.

The Danish international is now considering an offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League club, according to the Daily Mirror. It is believed that Bendtner could triple his current £35,000-a-week wage as a result.

Bendtner would join Alex Teixeira, Jackson Martinez, Ramires and, most recently, Ezequiel Lavezzi as the most high-profile Chinese imports were he to move. Wayne Rooney is also the subject of a mammoth bid from Asia, one which Manchester United are thought to be considering.
