Man City midfielder Bernardo Silva holds the Champions League trophy.

Man City midfielder Bernardo Silva has reportedly been offered a ‘lucrative contract’ to join the Saudi Arabian revolution.

Silva is attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona after another superb season for the Cityzens.

The latter will probably struggle to afford the Portuguese international, making PSG the frontrunners, where the player has reportedly been made a ‘priority’ signing this summer.

PSG director Luis Campos signed Silva when he was at AS Monaco and is eager to bring him to the French capital.

Silva discussed his future over the weekend and flat-out shut down talk of a return to Benfica while saying he simply does not know where he will end up.

And he has now been offered the chance to make some major wonga in the middle east, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Ornstein says it is unclear whether or not Silva has received a formal offer, but talks have definitely taken place with his agent Jorge Mendes.

The 28-year-old is ‘expected’ to turn down the offer, though ‘all options’ are being ‘considered’ amidst interest from Barcelona and PSG.

The Saudi Pro League will be a huge theme of the 2023 summer transfer window with several humungous deals already being finalised.

Many more are expected to come following Karim Benzema’s arrival, though it is noted that the ‘lucrative offer’ put on the table for Silva is viewed as one of the SPL’s ‘most ambitious’ signings yet.

Silva’s ‘uncertain’ future certainly makes a move to Saudi Arabia a possibility but he would ‘favour’ staying in Europe.

The report adds that the 28-year-old wanted to join Barca last summer but the La Liga giants could not muster up the cash to afford him.

And staying at City proved to be a good decision as Pep Guardiola’s side won the Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League to claim the Treble.

Bernardo could join his Portugal teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruben Neves in Saudi Arabia if he does decide to accept the proposal.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January and really opened the floodgates for this summer’s transfer activity.

Wolves have reportedly accepted a £47million bid from Al Hilal for Neves, who was also linked with Barca.
