Italian giants Inter Milan are keen to strike a deal with Manchester United for Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.
The Chilean was part of a swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan head to the Emirates Stadium.
There have been reports over the last week or so that the Chilean will be dumped in the reserves unless he seals a move to another club before the end of the European transfer window.
Other reports claimed that there are four clubs in for his services but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently dismissed those reports and said Sanchez could play a big part for United this season.
Stories earlier in the summer suggested that United would be happy to get his reported £560,000-a-week salary off their wage bill.
And now ESPN FC claims that Inter Milan have ‘registered their interest’ in Sanchez with the Serie A side ‘hoping to negotiate a loan deal’ before the European transfer window slams shut.
Sanchez is said to be ‘open’ to negotiations if the Italian club can agree a deal with United with Inter wanting ‘United pay a portion of Sanchez’s wages this season before buying him next summer’.
Sources have told ESPN, though, that an ‘agreement has not yet been reached’.
Despite Solskjaer’s recent backing of Sanchez, ESPN claims that Solskjaer is still ‘open to letting Sanchez leave’.
