Bournemouth set to move for £35m Chelsea flop

Bournemouth have expressed an interest in Lyon’s former Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore.

Lyon signed Karl Toko Ekambi from Villarreal on Monday and his arrival will put pressure on the forward positions.

Moussa Dembele has attracted attention from a number of Premier League clubs but Bournemouth are keen on Traore, according to the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old joined the French side from Chelsea in 2017 for £8.8million.

His value has soared after impressing in European competition and being regarded in the £35million bracket.

Bournemouth face a relegation battle with a squad severely stretched by injury and suspensions.

They are thought to want to take the forward on loan with obligation to buy in the summer should they remain in the Premier League.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jacob Bruun Larsen has also been discussed on loan but prefers a permanent move and has rival interest from clubs in Germany.
