Rhian Brewster has agreed a new five-year deal to stay at Liverpool, news that will delight Jurgen Klopp.
Brewster had been considered to be favouring a move away from Anfield in order to gain regular first-team minutes, with Borussia Monchengladbach the most obvious candidate to sign him.
That prompted Liverpool to threaten Monchengladbach with a report to FIFA about an illegal approach.
But in a turnaround, Brewster has now signed his first professional contract at Liverpool and will aim to push for first-team minutes immediately.
Brewster is viewed within Liverpool’s coaching structure as the best player in his age group, and he starred in England’s Under-17 World Cup win last year.
Now how does he go about getting meaningful football?
