Dougie Freedman may elect to rotate his Palace squad ahead of the visit of Wigan.
After a 3-2 league defeat to Leeds on Saturday, Freedman may use the fixture as an opportunity to view fringe players Stuart O’Keefe, Calvin Andrew and goalkeeper Lewis Price.
Those three were substitutes at Elland Road but all started in the Eagles’ first-round victory over Crawley.
Recent signings Anthony Gardner and Antonio Pedroza may also added to the squad if they can prove their match fitness, while Darren Ambrose is expected to start after being on the bench against the Whites.
Freedman remains without full-back Nathaniel Clyne (foot) and Kagisho Dikgacoi (hamstring), while fellow midfielders Owen Garvan (hip) and Alex Marrow (ankle) are still doubts.
Wigan defender Emmerson Boyce will miss the tie at Palace with a hamstring injury but should be fit to face Everton at the weekend.
New signings Shaun Maloney and Patrick van Aanholt could make their debuts while Albert Crusat might make his first start. Defenders Steve Gohouri (calf) and Antolin Alcaraz (thigh) are long-term absentees.
