Carragher rips into one Reds player after shock loss
Jamie Carragher has torn into Loris Karius’ performance after Liverpool’s 4-3 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Reds keeper could have done better with Bournemouth’s second goal before dropping a clanger when he spilled Steve Cook’s long-range effort to Nathan Ake who tapped home the winner in stoppage time.
Carragher, who watched the game as a pundit on Sky Sports, thinks Karius needs to produce a series of good performances to convince fans he is the real deal.
Klopp on Karius: "No problem. If you make mistakes you get criticised. I'm sure somebody has criticised Jamie Carragher in his career."

“It’s nowhere near good enough from the goalkeeper [for Fraser’s goal],” Carragher said. “This goalkeeper is yet to convince me – in any game – that he’s of the required standard.
“The seven or eight games he has played, and I know it’s still early days and who knows how he will do over the next two or three years, but it has to be a massive improvement from him.
“He hasn’t done anything yet in those games to impress me.”
It's a good job Loris Karius is a handsome beast with salon quality hair, because he ain't much good in goal. #bouliv

Carragher doesn’t think Simon Mignolet is a good enough replacement for Karius and he is sure the quality in the goalkeeping department has cost Liverpool in recent seasons.
“It’s a shocking mistake [for the winner],” Carragher said. “Going back over the last three or four years, is it to do with the goalkeeper?
“Now and again you need your goalkeeper to make a save. I know he made a decent save from Benik Afobe but when you come under pressure you need your goalkeeper.
“It’s no coincidence Liverpool have fallen apart over the last two or three years. I’ve said before Simon Mignolet is not good enough.”
