Cavani ‘entourage’ hint that Man Utd star could leave in January

A report has claimed that Edinson Cavani’s entourage has said that he could leave Man Utd for Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
The Uruguay international scored an impressive 17 goals in 39 matches in all competitions last season, with many of those appearances coming from the bench.
The Red Devils agreed a contract extension in the summer which ties Cavani to Man Utd until the end of the current season.
Premier League winners and Solskjaer (plus other losers)
However, the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo has seen Cavani fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford this season, with the Portuguese striker emerging as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first choice.
Cavani did start in their 1-1 draw against Everton on Sunday in a disappointing performance that saw him subbed off after 57 minutes.
The 34-year-old came close to joining Boca Juniors in the summer before renewing with Man Utd and there were rumours last week that he could move to Real Madrid in January.
And now Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness) claim that they have spoken to someone in Cavani’s ‘entourage’ about a potential move in the January window.
When asked whether a move to Real Madrid in the winter transfer window would be possible, they replied: “perhaps”.
Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes says “many, many things” have to be done better after all too familiar mistakes cost Man Utd potentially key Premier League points against Everton.
“Of course, I think it’s really difficult for us,” the Portuguese said.
“We played really well first half, create a lot of chances. In the second half we slow it down again. Once again we make that mistake. We have to learn.
“We have to learn and the time is now because we cannot do this anymore. We did it so many times. We cannot slow the game down when we’re winning.
“We have to make it quicker, score once again one, two goals and after, OK, you can slow it down and make them run a little bit more.
“But we have to carry on now. There’s no point… we can be frustrated because of the result, of course, but we have to come back after the national team and then be ready for the next games.”
