According to reports, Chelsea are ‘in talks’ with PSG over the signing of Presnel Kimpembe.

The Blues are without Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen heading into next season. They have joined Real Madrid and FC Barcelona respectively on free transfers.

Chelsea are progressing well with their own business. They have agreed to sign Nathan Ake (Man City) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli) for £77m combined.

PSG’s Kimpembe is also being targeted by Chelsea. He progressed through the ranks at the French side and he made his senior debut for them in 2014.

The 26-year-old has now played 221 times for PSG and he has helped them win the Ligue 1 title five times.

David Ornstein of The Athletic is reporting that PSG are ‘open’ to selling their academy product this summer.

He is a ‘key target for the left centre-back position’ and Chelsea are ‘in talks’ over the signing.

They face competition from Juventus though as they are ‘also keen’ to sign Kimpembe. The Italian outfit ‘have made contact with PSG’.

It has previously been reported that the defender is valued at £43m. His current contract is set to expire in 2023.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling is excited to get going at Chelsea after the London club completed the deal to sign him from Manchester City for £47.5m.

Sky Sports are reporting that the Blues will pay £47.5m for the forward. He has penned a five-year deal and this includes an option for a further season.

The England international will now link up with his new teammates for their pre-season camp in the United States.

Sterling bid to Man City in an emotional farewell posted on Wednesday afternoon. He has now insisted that there is “so much more to achieve” before he retires:

“First and foremost, it’s a pleasure to be here,” Sterling told the club’s official website.

“I’ve obviously achieved a lot in my career so far, but there is still so much more to achieve and I’m really looking forward to doing that in a Chelsea shirt, under Thomas’s management.

“London is my home and where it all started for me, and it’s amazing I now have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family week in, week out at Stamford Bridge. I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans there soon.

“I do want to take the opportunity to thank Todd, Behdad, the ownership group, Thomas, and all involved in the process of getting me here.

“I can’t wait to get going now and continue to do my talking on the pitch.”
