Hasenhuttl on five-man Chelsea shortlist to replace Lampard

Ralph Hasenhuttl joins four managers from abroad on a five-man Chelsea shortlist to replace Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard is under pressure after a dismal run of just one win in the last seven matches, leaving Chelsea ninth in the Premier League.

There were reports of the Blues hierarchy looking at other options after the 3-1 defeat to Manchester City and the Daily Mail claim they’ve now drawn up a shortlist of possible replacements.
Hasenhuttl is joined on the list by German trio Julian Nagelsmann, Thomas Tuchel and Ralf Rangnick, as well as former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, who has previously been interviewed by the club.
The report does say that Chelsea still have confidence that Lampard can turn things around, but that defeat to Fulham in their next Premier League game could force their hand into making a change.
Hasenhuttl is among the most highly lauded managers in England, with Southampton’s defeat of Liverpool last time out meaning they sit just four points off top spot.
