Chelsea, Spurs offered chance to sign Liverpool target for £66m

Chelsea and Spurs have both been offered the chance to sign a Ligue 1 star after his failed Liverpool move, a report claims.

The France star had looked set to become the £53million replacement for Philippe Coutinho at Anfield until his club Lyon released a statement saying that talks with the Merseysiders had ended.

It has since emerged that Liverpool’s medical staff had expressed grave reservations over the player’s knee injury, which required major surgery three years ago and a minor operation again last March.

Now, The Sun claims that Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Spurs and Chelsea have both been offered Fekir, who is at the World Cup with France.

The report hints that both London clubs are keen on a move for the 24-year-old, but that Lyon have slapped a £66m price tag on him.
