Chelsea Chief Executive Marina Granovskaia is proposing the sale of two Blues stars to fund a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

The Blues spent over £200m on new recruits this summer. Their new signings included the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell.

Frank Lampard’s side also brought in Thiago Silva and Edouard Mendy to bolster their defensive ranks.

Another name on their summer bucket list was West Ham midfielder Rice. Chelsea have long been rumoured to be admirers of the Englishman, but they did not manage to secure his services this summer.

The 21-year-old has made over 100 appearances for the Hammers since making his senior debut in 2015. His form for the Londoners has caught the eye of Gareth Southgate, who gave him his England debut in March 2019.

Rice reportedly remains high up on Lampard’s wishlist for Chelsea. They may go in for him again in January.

The Express have reported that to fund a deal for Rice, the Blues are willing to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga and Antonio Rudiger, who remain out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

The duo have only made nine appearances between them this season, with their time at Chelsea appearing to be drawing to a close.

So with The Manchester Derby, Arteta on the edge, Chelsea making a charge at it and Mino Raiola more famous than most Kings…it sounds like a Big Weekend to us.
