Colchester v Huddersfield preview

Colchester should welcome back three defenders for the visit of Huddersfield.
Right-back Brian Wilson has resumed training this week after nearly a month on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Centre-half Paul Reid (dead leg) and left-back Tommy Williams (calf) also missed the midweek Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat by Wycombe and are expected to return.
But Pat Baldwin is still struggling with a foot injury and Marc Tierney is recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
Ben Williams got the nod in goal on Tuesday night but Mark Cousins has been the preferred choice this season and should start.
Midfielder John-Joe O’Toole and defender Morten Knudsen (both knee) are still on the sidelines and not expected back until the new year.
Huddersfield defender Jamie McCombe will return to contention for the clash at Colchester following suspension.
But manager Lee Clark will be without midfielder Scott Arfield again as he is still on duty with Scotland Under-21s.
McCombe missed the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win over Peterborough on Tuesday due to a one-game ban after receiving two yellow cards in the weekend defeat to Bristol Rovers.
Goalkeeper Alex Smithies has returned early from the England Under-21s squad with a leg injury and is doubtful, so Ian Bennett will continue if he fails to make it.
Clark has no other new injury or suspension problems but Gary Naysmith (foot), Tom Clarke (knee) and Gary Roberts (broken arm) remain sidelined.
