Naby Keita “has his heart set” on joining Liverpool, according to our favourite transfer insider of all time.
Titi Camara, whose only apparent link to Keita is that they are both a) Guinean, and b) people, says the RB Leipzig midfielder is desperate to move to Anfield.
Keita has been linked with the Reds throughout this summer, with Liverpool reportedly ready to table a club-record £70million bid.
Leipzig are not in a position where they have to sell the player, but could find their hand forced if Keita tries to engineer a move.
According to former Liverpool striker Camara, the Bundesliga side are already trying to source a replacement for the midfielder.
‘From what I’m led to believe Naby has his heart set on #lfc move,’ he posted on Twitter. ‘Leipzig have been informed of his intent and are looking for replacement.’
Former Guinea national team head coach Camara has previously stated his support for 22-year-old Keita.
“Naby Keita is a boy who stands out. I think he is a player for the future. He gives me good impressions,” he said in an interview in December.
“I saw him in the German championship. He is progressing well. He knows what he wants and now it is up to us to accompany him so that he continues to work and win titles.”
