Conte calls draw at Everton ‘an unfair result’

Antonio Conte thinks Chelsea deserved more from their 0-0 draw against Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues were knocking at the door for most of the match but couldn’t break down a stubborn Toffees rearguard with Jordan Pickford in particularly good form.

And Conte was left wondering how they managed to leave Merseyside without scoring a goal.

“We had 26 shots, only eight on target,” Conte said. “I think we dominated the game and lots of chances to score. I think it is unfair result. Everton deserve credit but we deserve to win.

“Maybe Jordan Pickford was the best player for them.

“We dominated the game and it is a pity to drop two points. It is normal to drop points with a poor performance but not today.

“It is not simple to dominate here, we needed a bit of luck.”
