Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has mocked Jordan Pickford for allowing Adnan Januzaj’s shot to go in.

Pickford was unable to stop Januzaj’s left-footed effort, which went into his top left-hand corner.

Despite it hardly being an error, Courtois said that he would have caught the ball.

Courtois believes that Pickford’s height is a weakness, and was exploited.

“The goalkeeper is 10cm smaller than me,” he told Belgian outlet Voetball24.

“I would have caught it.

“He was too busy throwing his legs in the air.”

So much for the goalkeepers’ union, eh. What a d*ck move.

Pickford was criticised by Gary Neville on ITV for the apparent mistake.
