Premier League sides Crystal Palace, Burnley and Watford are all hoping to sign Ademola Lookman, according to reports.

The Englishman spent last season on loan at Fulham, where he made 35 appearances in all competitions.

Lookman managed goals against Leicester and Manchester United throughout the campaign and could soon return to England.

The Sun claims that Patrick Vieira is a fan of the RB Leipzig winger and may attempt to sign him on a temporary basis.

Palace have one loan spot left after announcing the arrival of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

That place could be filled by Lookman as Vieira continues his rebuild at Selhurst Park.

The 23-year-old is likely to be allowed to leave Germany, too. Leipzig already have Emil Forsberg and Dominik Szoboszlai available in Lookman’s position, among others.

He could spend plenty of time on the bench if he stays in the Bundesliga so a loan spell might be his best option.

Sean Dyche’s Burnley and newly-promoted Watford will provide competition for his signature.

Dyche is searching for more firepower in attacking areas after the Clarets managed just 33 goals in the Prem last season.

As usual, his spending power is limited, which means a loan move for Lookman is a solid bet.

Watford seem to have been impressed by Lookman’s performances in 2020/21, even though he couldn’t help Fulham to avoid relegation.

They could make the London-born attacker their tenth summer signing. The likes of Danny Rose, Imran Louza and Josh King have already been taken to Vicarage Road.

The report states that any of the three clubs will have to pay all of Lookman’s £50,000-a-week wages, on top of a £3.5m loan fee.

They can all afford that, although it might be more of a tight squeeze for Burnley.

Lookman’s wages have ruled out a number of other clubs which remain unnamed.

The report also provides an alternative to Lookman for Palace.

They’re supposedly hoping to sign 21-year-old forward Reiss Nelson from Arsenal.

The England U21 international failed to make an impact at Arsenal last term, scoring just one goal in nine games.
