Dan James next: The last 25 players to move from Champo

Dan James will become the 26th player in the last two years to move from the Championship to the Premier League when he completes his switch from Swansea to Manchester United.

The 17 outfield players to make the move in the summer have averaged 21 appearances in their first season in the top flight. Here is the breakdown…

First season in Premier League: 11 appearances, no goals or assists
The Holland-born midfielder made only four starts after joining Cardiff on deadline day in January for around £3million.

West Brom to Crystal Palace

First season in Premier League: 4 appearances, no goals or assists
Palace re-signed the attacker on a short-term deal after releasing him last summer, when he joined West Brom for a couple of months.
