Teenage defender Juan Foyth has essentially confirmed his move to Spurs, insisting that it was an easy choice.
The Estudiantes man also revealed that Mauricio Pochettino was a big factor in bringing him to the Premier League.
Foyth spoke to Argentine newspaper El Dia about his impending switch, insisting that their youth-heavy policy was also a major draw.
“It’s a club that bets on the young and I think I’m going to have a chance to play,” Foyth explained.
“I also spoke with Mauricio Pochettino and I liked what he said. It’s what helped me decide that Tottenham was the right place to continue my career.
“He told me to go, train and that I would be involved and I would play. He also told me what the club is like.”
Foyth also discussed Spurs’ Champions League group and the possibility of playing in European competition, as well as for the Argentine national team.
“It’s beautiful. Those teams are very nice to play, but at first, I think about being able to settle there fast and catch up.
“The greatest dream of every footballer is to play in the Argentine national team. But I don’t want to think about that now, but to settle at Tottenham.”
