Dejan Kulusevski begs Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham; striker wants his future decided ‘this week’

Dejan Kulusevski has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur will do ‘everything’ to ‘make’ Harry Kane stay at the club this summer, amid links with Bayern Munich.
The England international has just one year remaining on his current contract and it seems he has no intention of signing an extension as it stands.
There is a real risk that Tottenham could lose Kane on a free transfer next summer and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is testing their resolve.
As reported by Football365, the Bundesliga champions have made several bids for the striker. The latest is said to be worth over £86m, and Bayern apparently set Tottenham a deadline of midnight on Friday (August 4) to respond to it.
Daniel Levy ignored their offer and jetted off on a family holiday to Miami rather than responding. It’s reported he would only consider a bid of around £100m.
Tottenham are understandably desperate to keep Kane, though, and Kulusevski made that very clear speaking in a recent interview after their 5-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday, in which Kane scored four goals.
“Nah, [Kane is] unbelievable. Honestly, his mentality, I can learn from him like everybody. He just goes out and performs day in day out, Kulusevski said.
“He’s a true professional. I’m happy I helped him score. But of course we want him to stay and we’ll do everything to make him stay.”
Asked whether he wanted to see Kane’s future sorted sooner rather than later, Kulusevski responded: “I think it would. On the other hand, you can only control what you can control. We players cannot do anything about it.
“We work our hardest, try to stay ready and the players that manage it, it’s up to them.”
It’s no secret that Kane is desperate to win trophies before he retires. He is already Tottenham’s all-time record goal scorer but has zero honours to show for it.
The 30-year-old has made 435 appearances for Spurs overall. In the process, he has scored 280 goals, making 64 assists. He shows no signs of slowing down, either, netting 30 in the Premier League last term.
League titles would be almost guaranteed at Bayern and despite Levy’s response, the battle for Kane’s his signature is still alive.
Sky Sports Germany claim that Kane wants his future sorted ‘this week,’ so Tottenham fans will find out what happens with their star striker in the very near future.
Kulusevski and co clearly want him to stay, but if Bayern up their offer, there’s still a chance he could end up making the switch to Germany.
