Search narrows in quest to find ‘unnamed’ Diego Costa suitors

The search for the ‘unnamed top six Premier League club’ interested in signing Diego Costa has narrowed.

The former Chelsea striker has been without a club since his contract with Atletico Madrid was terminated in December.

And Sky Sports revealed on Monday that an unnamed top six club had tabled an offer.

Speculation has since been rife as to which club have approached the Spaniard.

Manchester City had been touted as a potential destination with Micah Richards claiming that Pep Guardiola would all but wrap up the title by signing the 32-year-old.

But BBC journalist Simon Stone claims City aren’t interested in pursuing a deadline day move for Costa.

It remains to be seen then whether Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Leicester or West Ham are his mystery suitors.
